Highway, Nick Mira team up for new single ‘We Can Go’

Following the release of his SoundCloud exclusive remix to “Better Float 2” with Trippie Redd, Highway is back for more — joining forces with Internet Money co-founder-producer Nick Mira on “We Can Go.”

Highway’s carefree, mumbled flow — which draws a loose resemblance to Future — is mesmerizing on “We Can Go.” Touting buzzing 808s and a haunting key loop from Mira, Victor Victor’s newest signee shows off his dynamic trap sound accompanied by hints of R&B within the melody.

Directed by Luca NV and edited by Stan Smith, the “We Can Go” music video features Highway rocking out to the track in the city streets and a parking garage. Smith uses stuttering freeze frame transitions as well as a mostly a black and white color tone with splashes of green and blue. These shots embody and reflect everything from Highway’s mysterious sound to Mira’s signature production style.

While Highway has announced that his next EP will be titled, Livin Like That, its official release date is still unknown. With two major collaborations and co-signs under his belt, Highway is gaining more and more recognition every day. Some may describe him as the underground Future, but before fans know it, he will be breaking into the mainstream and maybe even working alongside the man himself.
