Lil Tecca owns the summer, and his latest single “TASTE” is an embodiment of his run over the past year.
With his upcoming album, PLAN A, on the way, the Internet Money superstar continues to double down on his supply of hits. Following “Number 2” and “Never Last,” Tec displays a one-of-one energy (and “TASTE”) on the wavy, poolside vibe. “And my shawties come in different flavors, it’s like every day got a different taste,” he raps over warbled melodies that sound like underwater waves crashing—boasting his players ways for his fourth track of 2024.
Ignited by “Down With Me” in January, Tecca’s summertime dominance can be traced all the way back to his debut effort We Love You Tecca. The Galactic Records hitmaker’s latest album, TEC, debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard Top 200 in September 2023, earning 41,000 first-week units upon its release (the highest of his career thus far). The 16-track effort featured longtime collaborator Ken Carson and Kodak Black.
Akin to previous full-length projects like We Love You Tecca 2 and Virgo World, Tecca’s chart prominence continues to be a force for the new generation of stars, especially considering the viral success of “500lbs.”
There’s no Plan B for Lil Tecca, following the plan accordingly with his new album inching closer every day. For him, it’s all about “TASTE” as the summer heat wages on.
