Bobby Shmurda continues his comeback tour with another melodic cut built for radio play. Recruiting coveted producer Danny Wolf, the pair turned in an exclusive SoundCloud joint over the weekend titled “Gang Gang.”
Around this time last year, fans received word that Shmurda would be returning home from his multi-year incarceration. Anyone with any recollection of Bobby’s come-up seven years ago had high hopes for his future in music. Slowly but surely, Bobby dropped hit after hit, building his catalog in anticipation of an inevitable debut project.
Last month, Bobby’s first collaboration dropped with tons of “Shmoney” to count up his blessings. Featuring friends in Quavo and Rowdy Rebel, this turnt single saw the “Shmigo” boys go bar-for-bar — crafting catchy hooks and quick, punchy verses as the visuals depict them in a beautiful mansion with ladies to match.
“Gang Gang” ultimately showcased Bobby and Danny’s chemistry as a producer-rapper tandem, as the instrumental ebbs and flows with an overall eerie atmosphere that Shmurda bodies. Bobby rides the beat with ease, dropping bars so vicious that they instantly catch the ears of listeners on first spin.
2022 is Bobby’s for the taking as these last two singles not only bolster his fanbase, but builds his momentum as the new year wages on.
