Buddy drops deluxe to his sophomore LP ‘Superghetto’

After dropping off his long-awaited follow up to his 2018 debut LP Harlan & Alondra, Buddy gave fans some extra material on the Superghetto deluxe.

The Compton emcee’s sophomore effort sees him expand upon the West Coast’s patented sound and shows how much he has grown as an artist over these past four years. The deluxe helps bolster that claim by adding in more summertime vibes and showcases Buddy delivering slower tracks with smoother bars throughout.

The deluxe was announced on Wednesday (July 27) and officially dropped that Friday, adding just four tracks that includes features from Tyga and Gwen Bunn. Tyga is placed on the remix to the LP’s opener, “Hoochie Mama,” which shows both emcees trading verses over a classic California bounce that wraps the album up nicely.

Superghetto has been loved by fans for how well Buddy can flow on any type of beat thrown at him, and how well he can utilize his guest acts. In addition to the deluxe, the original track list touts appearances from Blxst, Ari Lennox and more.

Along with the release of his sophomore effort, Buddy also hit the road for his own Superghetto tour earlier this summer and is set to join Blxst for his Before You Go tour this August.

With the release of the Superghetto deluxe, Buddy proves that he holds one of the strongest West Coast efforts this year and is ready to give fans more heat for their rotations.
