Duke Deuce announces album ‘Crunkstar’ dropping June 17

It’s been a minute since fans have been treated to a new Duke Deuce project, but luckily the Memphis rapper took to Instagram this week to announce his forthcoming LP Crunkstar. Released on June 6, the album’s trailer provides a rare glimpse into the upbringing of the King of Crunk.

Crunkstar is set to be the first project released by Duke Deuce since Duke Nukem dropped in February 2021. The past year has been anything but quiet for south’s energetic hero, and after a string of viral singles like “WTF” and “I AINT WORRIED BOUT IT”, Crunkstar couldn’t arrive at a better time for Duke Deuce. Though the tracklist has yet to be revealed, fans have already begun speculating which rappers may appear as guests on the “Crunk Ain’t Dead” rapper’s project.

Duke Deuce fans have already been treated to a multitude of singles from the young rapper this year, including “FALLING OFF” with Rico Nasty, “RUNNING OUT OF LOVE” with Dante Smith, and even “Step Back” with Memphis icon Juicy J. After being featured on both Isaiah Rashad‘s and Mike Dimes‘ newest projects, expectations are high for the “WHERE THE PARTY AT?” emcee.

If the music that Duke Deuce has dropped this year is any indication of things to come, then fans are going to be in good hands once Crunkstar releases later this month. With more music and viral TikToks likely coming down the pipeline this year, Duke Deuce is ready to make 2022 his year.
