After teasing a secret collaborative effort for the last few months new school pioneer Pi’erre Bourne and Memphis legend Juicy J have finally released their project Space Age Pimpin’.
“This Fronto” was the first single off of the duo’s upcoming collab album, joining classic Memphis crunk production with Pi’erre’s futuristic trap style.
Juicy J leads in the track with a simple yet effective hook, referencing his favorite narcotics as horns, 808s and drums come in full force for the party-ready banger. The Three 6 Mafia member delivers a verse filled with clever metaphors before Pi’erre comes in, simplifying the beat to his taste and spitting auto-tuned bars about wealth and women.
“Hold-ups on you, I ain’t Jake Paul, nigga (Mm-mm)
Doctor can’t save you with a cape on, nigga (Mm-mm)
Slide on you, slide off with your bitch
Now she in good hands like All-State, nigga
With the same, stay in your lane
Fifty pointers on me, I’m the player of the game
Pop me a molly then fuck me a Barbie
And only know shorty by Instagram name”

Both artists are following up on the success of their last projects. Pi’erre recently produced tracks with his signees such as Jelly, Kura, J Billz and more, while Juicy J recently dropped his collaborative album with Wiz Khalifa, Stoner’s Night. Most notably, Jelly’s Wolf of Peachtree 2 featured 12 Pi’erre-produced tracks with a Juicy J feature on the lead single “Bubble Gum.”
With a single feature from Project Pat, Pi’erre and Juicy J’s collaborative effort clocks in at 11 tracks of trap-infused crunk. Both artists bring their A-game as they effortlessly play off of their respective styles, making for a turnt up, wavy experience.
As always, the mixture of old and new yields unexpected results, and considering Pi’erre and Juicy J’s chemistry and consistency, Space Age Pimpin’ is definitely out of this world.
