IDK drops ‘Breathe’ music video, announces worldwide tour, performs on NPR’s Tiny Desk

IDK has been on a roll in the month of May — delivering the third visual off his new album Simple, produced entirely by KAYTRANADA.

After sharing his first promotional single “Taco” — as well as dropping the visuals for “Dog Food” with Denzel Curry upon Simple’s release — IDK goes three-for-three in the E.T. inspired video for “Breathe” Posted on Monday (May 16), IDK visits Paris to let the track’s delicate singing and ethereal production soundtrack bike riders ascending into the sky.

Although IDK definitely has honed his singing ability in the past with songs like “Lilly” from 2019’s Is He Real? and “Peloton” from last year’s USEE4YOURSELF, he has never sounded this elegant and harmonious. “Breathe” was one of the two songs off the album that IDK previewed beforehand along with “Taco,” which ended up being the lead single.

Along with dropping new merchandise and speaking with OGM host Hakeem Rowe for Apple Music, IDK is also slated to hit the road soon.

On Wednesday (May 18), he announced his upcoming “Simple World Tour” with Radio Clue and Mavi, which will see him perform songs from all his prior albums as well as Simple. He will begin the tour on June 30 in Switzerland and end it on November 25 in his home state of Maryland.

To continue promoting Simple, IDK and NPR Music also released his first Tiny Desk Concert on Wednesday (May 18), where he performed songs like “The Code,” “Breathe” and “Taco” from his new album and older cuts like “Puerto Rico” from USEE4YOURSELF.

Packing tons of content in just a three-week span, it seems as if Simple was just the beginning of an extremely busy summer for IDK.
