After a rollout that lasted less than a month — consisting of two promotional singles in “Taco” and ”Dog Food” with Denzel Curry — IDK and KAYTRANDA are here with their new 8-track collab project Simple.
Released on May 6, Simple is straight to the point, containing eight songs worth of head-bopping dance-electronic production and potent — at times raunchy — lyrical displays. Catching up with OGM host Hakeem Rowe on Apple Music’s Radio Clue, IDK not only spoke on the project, but also working with Doja Cat, KAYTRANADA, and potentially landing on the deluxe to Denzel Curry’s Melt My Eyez, See Your Future in the 22-minute long interview.
Along with the release of his brief album, IDK dropped the visuals for ”Dog Food,” where he and Curry utilize a selfie stick to document their day with each other. Aside from Zeltron, the only other feature on the project comes from San Antonio, Texas native and burgeoning talent Mike Dimes on the penultimate song ”The Code.” Just after the album released, it quickly reached No. 1 on Apple Music’s Electronic Music chart, living up to its hype instantly.
Lengths wise, Simple. Is more of an ep than full album. There were more songs originally but Kaytranada and I agreed to keep it short and Simple. There’s always room for more in the future. Please enjoy the 8 tracks/17mins when it drops in a few hours.

Simple is the second album from IDK in the past year, as he dropped USEE4YOURSELF last summer and its subsequent deluxe version in October 2021. With IDK stepping out of the box and linking with KAYTRANADA, he has abosolutely widened his appeal and versatility on his short, yet impactful project.
