Los Angeles rapper Jay Worthy can’t be any clearer with the title of his brand new album, You Take the Credit, We’ll Take the Check.
Producer extraordinaire Harry Fraud takes the reigns behind the boards for the 14-track project, proving his chemistry with Worthy yet again with a variety of luxurious instrumentals complemented by perfectly-placed features.
Sporting guest appearances from Curren$y, MadeinTYO, Larry June, Conway the Machine and more, this project showcases why Jay and Harry make for such an unsurprisingly perfect match. The combination of Harry’s laid-back production and Jay’s unwavering delivery gives us a tape full of calm, collected lyricism and impressive collaborations.
Having already dropped a joint project with Larry June back in March, Worthy had quite a busy year leading up to this. His elite storytelling mixed with a friendly demeanor lends itself to these exciting collaborations with rappers of all styles and backgrounds, as he continues to put together a varied discography and close business relationships throughout the industry.
You Take the Credit, We’ll Take the Check adds another fantastic project to his resumé, as we see the duo take listeners on an incredibly thrilling journey. With still a few more months until the end of the year, fans will have to see what Jay Worthy has in store the rest of 2022.
