Kodak Black announces new album ‘Back For Everything’ alongside music video release

Kodak Black has seemingly reinvigorated his career in recent months, returning to superstar form off the back of his Billboard Top 10 hit “Super Gremlin.”

The Florida rapper is not only poised to assert himself as one of hip-hop’s most tantalizing acts once more, but continues his comeback tour announcing his new album Back For Everything (Feb. 25).

Yak’s return has garnered widespread praise from fans thus far, with his latest single “Grinding All Season” solidifying his place in the upper echelon of hip-hop artists this year. It looks like there will be no shortage of music from him moving forward. Along with his upcoming album Back For Everything, he’s set to drop another LP later this year in August.

In a recent tweet, Kodak alluded to both projects as well as collaboration with none other than English singer Ed Sheeran. Longtime listeners will remember when the “No Flockin” rapper went viral for a video of him covering “Shape Of You” back in 2017, confirming he is a certified Ed Sheeran stan.

“Grinding All Season” comes with cinematic visuals showing Yak in his hometown witha couple of bricks and some quirky characters. The song itself is a motivational anthem with an ethereal sample backed by heavy 808s.

“I been vibin’ for a reason (Reason, ayy)

I been grindin’ all season (Season, ayy)

I been standin’ away from leeches (Leeches, uh)

I been vibin’ for a reason (Reason, ayy)

I been grindin’ all season (Season, yeah)

I been standin’ away from leeches

I bet you can never say you seen it”

With appearances on projects by Yo Gotti and Gunna, Kodak has already been making major moves with his collaborations this year. “How You Did That” with Gunna was a fan favorite off of DS4EVER, with the duo’s respective styles blending unexpectedly well.

“Grinding All Season” is just a taste of what Kodak has in store in the coming months. With such a red carpet resurgence in material from the polarizing artist, big things are sure to come sooner rather than later.
