NLE Choppa, 2Rare ‘Do It Again’ on fiery new single

Memphis rapper NLE Choppa is entering the next phase of his career on a high note, as he continues to grow and mature artistically one track at a time.

Now, he’s at a point where he can elevate up-and-coming talent, as evidence by his newest collaboration with Philadelphia newcomer 2Rare. Uniting on “Do It Again,” the newfound duo slide over the energetic dance record that implements a a nostalgic sample of Rose Royce’s 1978 hit “Love Don’t Live Here Anymore.”

Both artists have unique approaches to the manic beat, with NLE spitting his signature, aggressive flow before handing it to 2Rare for a verse of off-the-cuff crooning. Visuals for the track showcase both rappers’ respective dance styles, coming from two of the premiere hip-hop cities in the US, as Choppa tears off lines explaining how rare he is and denounces his “clones.”

“Lil’ baby, you act like you know you was wrong

You lyin’, watch yo’ tone

I’m too fine to be so alone

Not my kind, he is a clone”

Dropping off his last studio album From Light To Dark in 2020, Choppa has steadily released a stream of singles and EPs to hold fans over until his next official drop. In addition to eight singles, his full-length project Me vs. Me in January came complete with features from Young Thug, Polo G, G Herbo and Moneybagg Yo, giving fans more than enough to chew on while awaiting for his next record.
