Pasto Flocco has continued to dominate the SoundCloud scene — racking up millions of plays and frequently collaborating with bonafide stars like Lil Tecca and SoFaygo.
His unique sound and notable consistency have made him a fan favorite among the new generation of artists — even being recruited for PnB Rock’s recent project SoundCloud Daze which featured many other significant SoundCloud up-and-comers. Pasto’s ability to comfortably sing-rap over any beat make his distinct flow nearly irresistible, and on his new single “GLE Freestyle,” he continues to prove himself as a serious talent among the new wave.
Flocco is known to test boundaries by showing off his versatility like on his previous efforts, as “GLE Freestyle” is a short but special one. The song sits at a quick one minute and 29 seconds, but contains all elements to have fans listening on repeat. The New York native switches up his style with a calming, more quiet approach, as he steadily freestyles over a smooth and relaxing instrumental.
The accompanying visuals for the track surprisingly contain two separate songs and videos in one. In the first half, we see “GLE Freestyle” filled with lively animations and fast-cutting transitions. Around the minute and a half mark, the video swiftly transitions into a different track titled “Bank Squad Anthem” which was shot in a different location.
Although Pasto has had quite the following for nearly three years now, his fanbase continues to rapidly expand. His addicting melodies and clever hooks have something for all fans, with Pasto constantly evolving his image and sound all in one. Mastering his craft and improving his ear on each new track, Pasto looks to become the new wave’s saving grace.
