Nearly five years after the release of their triple album SR3MM, Rae Sremmurd is finally eyeing the fourth installment of their coveted SremmLife series.
Sharing the record’s second single “Tanisha (Pump That)” on Friday (March 10), SRMM4LIFE is officially slated for release on April 7, per the Ear Drummers duo’s announcement last week. Executive produced by label boss Mike WiLL Made-It and featuring writing credits from Pharrell Williams, their latest track “Tanisha (Pump That)” will surely be a soundtrack to summertime bashes.
Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi evidently showcase a new side of their sound on “Tanisha,” as the brothers join forces to bring feel-good vibes harmonizing about a special someone. Equally catchy as it is laid-back, the pair tell the story of meeting someone in the club over the propulsive production. Slim Jxmmi provides the bars: “Ayy, I can tell you like attention just by the way you shake it, All eyes on you, go crazy.” Swae Lee sings a melodic hook: “Let’s not go back and forth, she’s what I need, Throwing it back with force, lightning speed.”
Rae Sremmurd’s first two albums, SremmLife and SremmLife 2, are both RIAA-certified Platinum as SR3MM currently holds Gold honors. Swae and Slim dropped a series of tracks in 2022 to lead-in SRMM4LIFE including “Denial” and “Torpedo” — showcasing the unmissable talent from the brothers.
For the first time in seven years, fans can also catch Rae Sremmurd perform at Coachella this coming April. They haven’t toured since 2016-2017, and will also join Post Malone overseas on tbe European leg of his “Twelve Carat Tour” April 22.
