International sensation Rich Brian has taken the last two years to perfect his craft with sporadic single releases. Now, he is back after his early-2022 EP with an unexpected collaboration.
Indonesia and Florida connected on Nov. 15 with Brian tapping $NOT for an unprecedented mellow track aptly titled “VIVID.” On “VIVID,” both artists showcase their singing and rapping capabilities over an unorthodox instrumental that starts off with a minimal guitar loop and evolves throughout the track
The music video take place at a driving range as Brian surrounds himself with a field of visual effects and neon lasers. $NOT doesn’t appear in the video, but his significant contribution to the track doesn’t go unnoticed as he slides through multiple flows.
Both $NOT and Brian have been relatively quiet in the second half of this year, dropping respective projects in the first half that show off the admirable growth in their careers.
Rich Brian’s most recent release was a four-track EP titled Brightside, sporting a single feature from his 88Rising labelmate Warren Hue. $NOT’s third studio album Ethereal dropped just a few weeks after Brian’s EP, bringing out A$AP Rocky, Trippie Redd, Juicy J, Joey Bada$$ and more. Since this project, the “Doja” rapper has released three stellar tracks to hold fans over, most recently dropping the bouncy, yet subdued “SIMPLE.”
As of right now, Rich Brian hasn’t confirmed any upcoming project, however, a collaboration this big will hopefully lead to a future full-length release.
