As Rolling Loud readies for its final acts of 2022 in Toronto and New York next month, co-founders Tariq Cherif and Matt Zingler are already looking towards the future — making more history in the process.
Announcing Rolling Loud California’s return to Los Angeles for the first time since 2019, the festival is set to experience a major venue change. Taking place on March 3-5, 2023 at Hollywood Park, RL is “honored” to pay homage to hip-hop’s West Coast roots in South Central Los Angeles.

The venue, which is adjacent to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood — home of the reigning Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams — is poised to be a triumphant landmark of the West Coast’s storied rap lineage. Both Cherif and Zingler expressed their excitement on Tuesday (Aug. 30) as they prep to put Rolling Loud at the epicenter of hip-hop history.
Rolling Loud is deeply honored to be the first-ever music festival to take place at the incredible Hollywood Park. We’re pumped to return to L.A. and make our debut in Inglewood, such an important neighborhood in rap history. Rolling Loud California 2023 will be an event worthy of its historic location, celebrating the undeniable influence of the West Coast on hip-hop and featuring some of the hottest rappers in the game. Stay tuned for our biggest and best California festival yet!”

In a press conference on Tuesday, Cherif further noted that the festival’s impending status in Inglewood will deliver a “major economic impact” for the community. Whilst providing jobs to its residents, the city holds an integral role in the popularization of West Coast rap and its icons — earning shout outs from Dr. Dre on “California Love” and “The Next Episode” among other key highlights in Inglewood’s rich musical history.

Amid plans for 2023, RL’s next fests in Toronto (Sept. 9-11) and New York City (Sept. 23-25) are slated to be grandiose continuations of the acclaimed concert series. Channeling its mission of being a “vanguard of live music experiences in hip-hop and beyond,” Rolling Loud’s flagship installment in Miami this year saw its biggest headliner group to date: Boasting Kendrick Lamar, Kid Cudi, Future as well as special appearances from Ye and Travis Scott.
