After endless comments and messages from fans, Rolling Loud has turned their dreams into reality — officially bringing on Playboi Carti as the special guest performer for Rolling Loud New York.

Announcing Carti’s addition to the RLNY roster on Monday (Aug. 15), the culture-defining Opium head honcho is set to make his sixth consecutive appearance at a RL festival in two years — most recently shutting down Rolling Loud Miami with a sea of vamps in attendance.

The festival — which is set to be held Sept. 23-25 at Citi Field in Queens, New York City — is poised to be one of Rolling Loud’s best yet. Touting headliners in J. Cole, Nicki Minaj, Future, A$AP Rocky, Moneybagg Yo, Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage and more, these established superstars are complemented by a slew of the new wave’s bonafide trendsetters. Rising acts in Bktherula, Armani White, Tana, Slump6s, Nardo Wick, yvngxchris, Lancey Foux, SSGKobe, King Combs and others are slated to represent the next generation of stars, as hometown favorites like A Boogie, Lil Tecca and Fivio Foreign look to claim the crown as “King of New York.”

Off the back of a stellar production at Rolling Loud Miami in July, the festival continues to cultivate worldwide notoriety — most recently being dubbed as the “Hip-Hop Super Bowl.” As the marquee live experience in hip-hop, RL has ultimately expanded its reach beyond the United States and into international territories such as Portugal, Toronto and the Netherlands (with plans to expand to Thailand in 2023).

Founders Tariq Cherif and Matt Ziegler continue to boast no signs of slowing down, as the RL tandem are on a mission to become the most recognizable names in live entertainment, music and more.
