The Kid LAROI, Nardo Wick are “Burning Up” in new Lyrical Lemonade visual

Back in November, The Kid LAROI announced his departure from social media in order to focus on his upcoming debut album KIDS ARE GROWING UP. As we’ve made it more than halfway through 2022, it seems as though that hiatus has paid major dividends.

With two singles under his belt this year in “Thousand Miles” and “Paris to Tokyo” with Fivio Foreign, LAROI seems to be picking up steam by the week. Now connecting with Nardo Wick for “Burning Up” — a highlight off Wick’s new tape Who Is Nardo Wick? 2 — the pair’s previously teased Lyrical Lemonade visual has finally come to light.

Days after dropping the video to Central Cee’s left-of-center hit “Doja,” Cole Bennett keeps his foot on the gas with LAROI and Nardo. Dressed to the nines and surrounded by water, the duo evades danger “Burning Up” the scene on sight — seen burning rubber on motorbikes in the visual’s opening and closing shots. Nardo’s menacing flow and maniacal bars complement LAROI’s emotive, laid-back hook near perfectly — seemingly embodying his mentor Juice WRLD’s knack for intertwining heart-wrenching melodies within darker soundscapes.

“Burning Up” has been in the works for the entire year, as the pair was spotted in the studio together back in January. Months later, LAROI further teased “Burning Up” by bringing out Nardo to perform during his set at Wireless Fest in July. While LAROI is in the middle of a gradual album rollout, Nardo continues his newfound dominance with his high-powered follow-up to Who Is Nardo Wick? — his 2021 debut LP which helped him secure a spot on the 2022 XXL Freshman list.

Both LAROI and Nardo are trending as we head into the second half of the year, as their LL joint single only brings more excitement to their full-length and future efforts.
