With cryptocurrency taking off in the digital marketplace, it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon, as Takeoff and Rich the Kid look to profit off the hype of their latest collab.
“Crypto” is Takeoff’s first single since his debut solo project The Last Rocket in 2018. Rich the Kid joins one third of the Migos to drop an ode to the future of investing, expressing their money motivated mentality over a spacey instrumental.
Takeoff takes charge on the track’s hook, commanding his bars about splurging his expenses and flaunting his lavish lifestyle. Rich The Kid is equally as impressive on the record — perhaps turning in one of his most captivating verses in recent years. With stop-and-start flows, affected pauses and carefree wordplay, Rich’s resurgence wholeheartedly continues on his latest effort.

Between Culture III and features on projects by Roddy Ricch, Pop Smoke and more, Takeoff has made sporadic appearances throughout 2021. In contrast, Rich the Kid pulled through with two albums (Lucky 7 and Trust Fund Babies with Lil Wayne) as well as verses on tracks by Polo G, Trippie Redd, Mike Dean and more.
Hopefully this single leads to more material from Takeoff as the Migos each make waves in their own personal endeavors. Clearly he is focused on the bag right now, whether it’s in cash or BitCoin.
