Tory Lanez delivers new 20-track album ‘Sorry 4 What’

The only thing Tory Lanez should be sorry for is not dropping his new album earlier. On Friday, Sept. 30th, the Toronto native dropped off his highly anticipated, 20-track album Sorry 4 What.

The project sits as Tory’s first album of the year and is a healthy mix of both R&B and hip-hop. While the majority of Sorry 4 What is Tory going solo dolo and showcasing his vast musical versatility, the album does contain two guest features from A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Yoko Gold.

Like many of Tory’s beloved albums, fans often find an overabundance of diverse sounds, altering flows and clashing genres that bring the 30-year-old vocalist plenty of love and praise.

One fan who just so happens to be the most famous athlete in the world, took to his social media accounts, praising Tory’s new project. Lebron James was such a big fan of Sorry 4 What, the GOAT felt the need to share his love for the project on both Instagram and Twitter.

While Tory certainly has as much talent as any musician across all genres, Sorry 4 What is yet another small glimpse into the musical genius and raw talent that Tory Lanez possesses.

Tory Lanez announces ‘Sorry 4 What,’ shares lead single ‘Why Did I’

Despite the now numerous legal battles that Tory Lanez is — and will be — facing, the Alone At Prom star doesn’t look like he’ll be apologizing for anything anytime soon.

On Friday (Sept. 16), Tory took to Twitter and Instagram to announce that his upcoming 18-track album, Sorry 4 What, will be released on Sept. 30.

The forthcoming record will be Tory’s first new project of 2022 and will follow the irresistible, 80s-themed Alone at Prom, which was released in December 2021. Sharing S4W’s lead single “Why Did I” on Friday (Sept. 23), it’s clear that Tory is leaving the sugary hooks of the 80s behind to bring forth a new pack of melodic trap hits.

On the other hand, Alone At Prom has seen a resurgence on TikTok this month, as its hit track “The Color Violet” has amassed over 10,000 videos in just two weeks time. His live performance has been equally circulating the internet — bolstering Tory’s knack for versatile soundscapes no matter the genre.

Although Sorry 4 What will be his only full-length album this year, Lanez has delivered countless new tracks throughout 2022. Enacting Fargo Fridays, the Toronto native would treat his fans to new music every Friday over the course of the summer.

Lanez stuck to his word and delivered new music to his fans like “Florida Jit” and “I Like” to name a few. However, with developments surrounding an alleged altercation with August Alsina — as well as his ongoing legal scuffle with Megan Thee Stallion — the embattled singer-rapper might be sorry for something if all is proven true.

Check back here for Sorry 4 What on Sept. 30.
