Simply put, wolfacejoeyy makes music fun. It’s obvious after you subconsciously start singing his lyrics and uncontrollably dancing to his shimmering style of Jersey Club that the rising East Coast star is an enigma in his space. Tracks like “buku,” “TRUE,” “Company,” “I Think You Like Me” and his new single “what do you do?” all are potent displays of Joey’s carefree and lovable personality.
“My fit pink and white like Frank Ocean,” he loosely raps over twinkling production courtesy of Wisvoo, Venny and Pooka. This is just the latest effort in Joey’s string of infectious cuts in recent months, all following his EP hues, vol. 2 in April. Teasing a collab tape with longtime friend and producer Whereis22, an album is in sights for the Staten Island-based rapper — and even another link-up with “shake it” co-star B-Lovee in the works.
