Rich Amiri’s effortless flows and catchy melodies have not only garnered him widespread acclaim in a matter of months, but recognition as one of the underground’s next up acts.
With a self-proclaimed “Bounty” placed on the Boston emcee, the lead single to his upcoming 8-track EP, For The Better, sees the Internet Money-affiliated artist continue to make a name for himself — catapulting his sound further into SoundCloud’s revitalized wave.
Following co-signs from Taz Taylor, Rio Levya and Iayze — as the latter connected with him on “Jumpin” in mid-April — Amiri has become well known for sharing constant snippets of new music on TikTok. Leaving listeners begging for more each time he drops a teaser, “Bounty’s” preview instantly caught fire amongst his following.
Officially released on Friday (June 10), Amiri’s sauce is evident on the plugg-infused banger that stretches just over a minute and 30 seconds. Boasting auto-tune laced bars about fans “loving” his song and dancing to it, “Bounty” is a pure vibe — showcasing Amiri’s refined track presence and knack for sing-rapping over ethereal, hard-hitting production.
You forgot all about me
Stevo in the Southy, man, free him from the county
And they used to clown me, but now my diamonds drowning
Know I got a bounty on me, they still ain’t found me
And they love my song, play my song and they gon’ danceRich Amiri — “Bounty”
Paying homage to D. Savage’s 2018 single “Opera” from his mixtape D. Phoenix, Amiri acknowledged fans’ speculations of the close similarities between the two songs in a recent TikTok. The teenage phenom’s newest single also pulls inspiration from one of Lil Tecca’s most notable unreleased tracks “Treesha,” which he previewed back in 2019.
Although For The Better’s release date is still unannounced, Amiri recently revealed the cover art and tracklist via Twitter, which holds a set of premium features from underground stars in Summrs, SSGKobe, Desire and Jaydes.
Amiri has set the tone for his forthcoming project’s release perfectly, as “Bounty” is bound to be on repeat until he’s back “For The Better.”
