Southside shares ‘PRESIDENT’ featuring Destroy Lonely and Ken Carson’

When Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely link up, it’s a moment you don’t want to miss.

Connecting with Southside on “PRESIDENT”—the third single off the 808 Mafia boss’s upcoming album—Ken and Lone are in their element on the heavily-distorted banger. Bringing forth a “VETERAN”-esque performance, muddy 808s fill the void of Ken and Lone’s heavily-autotune verses, skating over the sinister Southside production. “I pull up with 15 black trucks, I feel like the president,” they rap.

This is Carson and Lonely’s eighth official collaboration, with their latest being on If Looks Could Kill (“money & sex”) and A GREAT CHAOS (“Paranoid,” “Singapore,” “Like This”).

Previously sharing “GIMME DA LITE” with Lil Yachty and “Hold That Heat” with Travis Scott and Future, “PRESIDENT” turns up the heat as Southside continues an 2024 run with his forthcoming record. With placements on Future and Metro Boomin’s We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You, Nicki Minaj‘s Pink Friday 2 and Drake’s For All The Dogs—all of which have debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200—Sizzle’s latest with Opium’s one-two punch further cements his long-standing legacy in the game.

Both Ken and Lone are in the midst of album rollouts, as Carson recently shared his latest single “overseas” and partnered with XBOX for an exclusive A GREAT CHAOS collaboration. Debuting at No. 76 on the Billboard Hot 100, “overseas” became the highest-charting single in Carson’s career, gearing up to release the AGC deluxe, MORE CHAOS. Lonely’s upcoming single “Luv4Ya” drops on May 10, with his highly-anticipated follow-up to ILCK, LOVE LAST FOREVER, following close behind.
