DC The Don shares ‘Telfar’ visual ahead of ‘MOW3’ deluxe, new mixtape ‘SBSN’

When we spoke to DC The Don in February for his OGM exclusive interview — the week he released his fan-favorite album My Own Worst Enemy — he revealed plans to drop two more full-length projects before the end of 2022.

While we are more than halfway through the year, he remains optimistically committed to this plan, setting tentative, unspecified release dates for July 29 and August 5.

Amid his forthcoming three-project run, Donny dropped off the music videos for two of MOW3‘s landmark tracks “Telfar…” (July 19) and “Diamonds & Rubies” (June 25). As the eighth and ninth MOW3 cuts to receive this treatment, Donny told us that he cherishes including visual aspects with his music and feeding his fans in the process. Specifically with “Telfar…,” the flashing strobe lights and menacing demeanor displayed capture the atmosphere of Donny’s 2022 so far perfectly.

Whether it be music videos like these or live performances such as his recent “MOW3” tour and immersive OGM Live set, Donny is relentlessly sharing snippets of new heat on social media. Along with his verse on “Gang Gang,” posthumously released by his late best friend Sad Frosty, DC doesn’t seem to be slowing down whatsoever.

Locked in on finishing the deluxe version of MOW3, the continuation tape will likely serve as one of the two additional LPs he’s planning to release this year. As fans will presumably receive a full project’s worth on the impending deluxe, there is still no track list available yet.

However, once this deluxe is out of the way, Donny’s forthcoming album will complete a hyper-active, explosive year for the Milwaukee-bred “Rag3 Kid.” This future tape already has a title, with it slated to be named Stop Being So Nice.

When referring to SBSN, Donny confirms he has been working on the “masterpiece” for about two-and-a-half years. Claiming it is his favorite album he’s ever made and better than his previous two, DC has provided a handful of snippets that will be included on SBSN.

Along with all of this new music in DC’s vault that he’s ready to unleash, he also seems to have some fire collaborations in the works and recently released. After being seen with fellow new wave artists like Midwxst, Dro Kenji and yvngxchris earlier this summer, he was able to drop SoundCloud exclusives like “outlaw” with yvngxchris (July 11) and “SO WHAT,” included on Kenji’s July 8th EP Lost in Here.

While DC The Don has already made his mark on 2022, he’s looking to own the rest of the year as well — knowing full well his best is yet to come.
