Since the release of DC The Don‘s February studio album My Own Worst Enemy, the genre-bending rapper has stayed busy promoting it. For his most recent effort to bring attention to his stellar, energetic album, Donny linked up with the underground music video king, DotCom Nirvan.
On April 20, Nirvan and DC dropped the visuals for “Donny’s Revenge,” the seventh song on MOW3. As Nirvan’s videos contain some of the most creative, animated and colorful effects music video directors have to offer, the “Donny’s Revenge” video is another work of art.
The video shows Donny rocking out in a shed/abondoned building of sorts, with creepy eyeballs following him at every turn. Donning a pair of dark shades and rocking his trademark red dreadlocks, DC truly exemplifies the opening bar of the song “Ay, who that? It’s the man.”
“Donny’s Revenge” is officially the seventh song on MOW3 to be given the music video treatment, which shows how devoted DC The Don is to the visual aspects that are included with his music and artistry. Most recently, he dropped the music video for the tenth song “i want you <3” on April 13.
As another promotion tool for his project, Donny joined us on April 8 for an OGM Live performance of the eighth song on MOW3, “PSA.”
DotCom Nirvan has also been especially active himself, as recent music videos he has directed for Trippie Redd‘s singles “Uh Uh (Hit Em With The),” “Fire In My Heart and “Kill La Kill,” as well as Slump6s‘ “Up It” and Iayze‘s “C’mere” have all lived up to his growing expectations.
