“Helluva made this beat baby!” have been the first words of a couple of the hottest songs of the year, crediting sonic wizard Helluva as his producer tag has ignited a variety of chart-topping instrumentals.
ShittyBoyz representative BabyTron joins his longtime collaborator for Helluva’s first single titled “Money Flow.” Accompanying the accomplished duo is a relatively unknown singer by the name of Dave Fio, making his first appearance on streaming platforms on Helluva’s first single of the year.
Starting off with a classic Helluva instrumental composed of nothing but heavy percussion and an air horn as BabyTron flies out the gate with punchlines left and right. As the beat switches to a nostalgic combination of softer bass and a motivational piano melody, Dave Frio blows his first feature out of the water with an unexpected hook perfect for a summer pool party.
Tron has seen the biggest year of his career from his Lyrical Lemonade video to his XXL Freshman Class appearance. Between two projects with the ShittyBoyz and one solo album, his work ethic this year has been relentless, and it seems like he won’t be slowing down anytime soon.
This is Helluva’s second single as lead artist following last year’s “No Membership” featuring GMO Stax and Veeze, Around this time last year, the young hit maker collaborated with Compton rapper YS for an album titled Realer Than Real, complete with features from EST Gee, Babyface Ray, Fenix Flexin and more.
As he begins to prep fans of his instrumentation for a rollout, this first single showcases Helluva’s ability to make attention-grabbing instrumentals that will make up the soundtrack of the early 2020’s.
