Between consistent public appearances and viral pregnancy photos, Rihanna manages to keep her personal life to herself, revealing updates to fans completely on her own time.
In an exclusive interview with Vogue, the “Needed Me” singer detailed the inner workings of motherhood, relationships and business ventures, giving readers a peek into her mindset during such a hectic time of her life.
RiRi isn’t letting her pregnancy slow her down, explaining that if anything, she has been more inclined to take opportunities and continue her professional journey whether it be fashion or music.
“I think I even say yes to more [things] now because I know it will be different on the other side of this. At first I expected some magical change, but really I remain who I am. None of the dials are turned down.”

Her baby bump has been all the more reason for Rihanna to try more experimental fashion choices — many of her recent looks aim to empower expectant mothers to have pride in their pregnancies.
A$AP Rocky is her perfect match, complementing her fashion choices with his own and clearly being a very present father for their incoming baby. Throughout the interview, Rihanna speaks openly of her and Rocky’s romantic involvement, explaining that the pandemic played a part. From being spotted at a music video shoot together last July to now, it’s all been going up for music’s bonafide power couple.
Rocky himself has had an unforgettable 2022, dropping consistent collaborations left and right. Working with $NOT (“Doja”), Tyler, The Creator (“Lost And Found Freestyle 2019”), A$AP Ant (“The God Hour”) and more this year, Rocky is All Smiles heading into his own upcoming full-length project.
If you’re waiting on music from the Fenty CEO, don’t hold your breath just yet. Her 2016 album Anti still holds up after seven years — prompting Rihanna to change her approach on her follow-up.
“I’m looking at my next project completely differently from the way I had wanted to put it out before. I think this way suits me better, a lot better. It’s authentic, it’ll be fun for me, and it takes a lot of the pressure off.”

Keeping up business as usual, it doesn’t seem like things will slow down for Rihanna anytime soon. When asked how she plans to stay productive she said, “Balance is one of my biggest challenges and always has been, and now there’s another human being coming into play, it changes what that means again. Still, I have businesses that aren’t going to run themselves.”
