After initially making noise back in 2019 with his track “Distress,” Maryland-based rapper SportVVS‘s consistency is difficult to go unnoticed.
The Maryland native has strong ties to the underground as his discography contains collaborations with SoFaygo, Yung Fazo, TyFontaine along with many others. VVS has also been able to showcase his talent live at sold out concerts such as at Splur Fest 2021, hosted by Siennaburmess and as an opener for SoFaygo’s free Atlanta show back on July 17, 2021.
His latest project Manifestation illustrates VVS’s versatility within his stylistic approach as he goes from hard hitting bangers such as “Lust” to melodic masterpieces as in “Ice Heart.” This project proves how difficult it is to place VVS in a genre. His smooth delivery and authenticty on “Manifestation” makes each track stand out in its own way.
Behind the scenes on the production side of Manifestation reveals the work of some of the hottest producers on the come up. VVS teamed up with the “Antisocial” producer Maajins on the track “Your Not Ok,” as well as its2ezzy on “DGAF,” who has worked alongside the rappers NBA Youngboy and Lil Durk.
Coinciding the release, a Manifestation release party is slated for June 10, 2022 in Atlanta, as VVS will appear as the headliner and will be accompanied by performances from friends Yung Fazo, Xhulooo, cheRomani+, Eli Juggz and others.
Simply put, SportVVS’s talent speaks for itself on this new project. With more exposure, VVS has the potential to take the underground by storm — hoping to manifest more success much sooner rather than later.
