Enter the ‘11th Dimension’ with Ski Mask The Slump God.
Ski Mask The Slump God’s hiatus is finally over, releasing his new studio album, 11th Dimension, after a five-year full-length absence.
Preceded by charismatic lead singles in “Shibuya” (March 15) and “Headrush” (May 10), the Florida emcee’s long-awaited return has been calculated for quite some time—sharing a trio of cinematic trailers building a world around the new record, telling Complex of its concept.
Featuring Juice WRLD, XXXTENTACION, Future, Corbin and more, the 21-track LP—spearheaded by longtime friend and collaborator DJ Scheme—is Ski’s most personal yet, even if features like Yeat and Dominic Fike didn’t make the final cut. The Juice WRLD-assisted “Wake Up!” was originally intended for their now-shelved collaborative mixtape Evil Twins, as Ski floats over magnetic performances on “WDYM,” “Dragontooth” and “Monsters Inc.” with Future and ATL Jacob.

The follow-up to 2018’s STOKELEY has followed Ski since the release of his 2021 teaser EP, Sin City, as DJ Scheme perfectly summed up the emotions heading into 11th Dimension. “This album means the WRLD to us,” he wrote on X. “Five years of pain and love and more.”
Ski Mask hits different on 11th Dimension, speaking out on the significance of being an artist that “stands out.” “It’s important to have people in rap that bring unique and different sounds,” he said in a January 2023 post. “Trippie Redd, Boat, Yeat, Opium, Me… need I say more?”

As one of the last pioneers of the SoundCloud era, alongside late-greats in Juice WRLD, XXXTENTACION and Lil Peep, the “Florida Water” rapper has been open about his struggles coping with the deaths of X and Juice. Dedicating his sets at Rolling Loud Miami, Summer Smash and Lyrical Lemonade’s 10th anniversary bash to his fallen “brothers,” Ski’s new LP not only honors them, but highlights how overcoming this adversity has made him stronger. “My life like a war in Belize, I’m dealing with PTSD,” he raps on “WDYM,” alluding to the inner torment he’s oft-spoken on in regards to the loss he’s dealt with—battling his demons above all.
Prior to 11th Dimension’s arrival, Ski Mask The Slump God was featured on Lyrical Lemonade’s debut compilation LP, All Is Yellow, in January on “Fly Away.” Past tracks like “Ooga Booga,” “Florida Water” and an appearance on Kenny Beats’ Season 4 premiere of The Cave have made for recent waves. Ski is also set to return to LL’s Summer Smash festival in Chicago, which is the first date of “11th Dimension World Tour,” bringing along supporting acts in Hardrock, Molly Santana and Danny Towers.
