Yeat gets geeked on 9-track ‘2 Alivë’ deluxe ‘Geek Pack’

Portland-bred superstar Yeat has become a can’t-miss prodigy for new wave fans in the past year. In February, he dropped his highly-revered album 2 Alivë, which features Young Thug, Yung Kayo, Ken Car$on, Gunna and others.

Following his career-shifting project, Yeat has been consistently spotted in the studio with Lil Uzi Vert — teasing 2 Alivë’s deluxe with a slew of IG clips over the past month. Now, Yeat’s ‘Geëk Pack’ is finaly here (April 1), as his 2022 effort continues to make a sweeping impact on the game a month after its original release.

Bringing in both Uzi and UK superstar Lancey Foux, the 9-track tape is a brasher, more bolder side to Yeat’s sound. Taking plenty of vocal risks with Uzi on “3G” and “Big tonka,” Foux finds his pocket to do what he does best on “Luv monëy” — spitting with a lavish skillset and an determined hunger found all throughout his discography.

Initially selling over 34,000 first-week units — a massive win for a post-underground star still building his mainstream image — Yeat’s star continues to soar at a rapid rate. With the success he’s seen stemming from his latest album, Drake co-sign and Lyrical Lemonade treatment for “Still Countin,” Yeat is also set to embark on The 2 Alivë Tour kicking off April 8 in Detroit. As tickets went on sale on March 18 at 10 a.m. EST, it didn’t take long for fans to sell out the tour in a matter of hours.

However, a few more dates were added a few days following the sellouts, as Goldenvoice has scheduled three more shows on both May 9 and May 12-13. The resale of Yeat’s 2 Alivë tickets have been reported to sell for five times its original value.

Complete with 14 dates, the tour was set to end May 9 at The Fonda in Los Angeles, as fellow Twizzy Rich affiliate SeptembersRich will open for Yeat on select dates. In light of this news, Yeat will not be making any festival appearances this year due to his focus on his first solo tour.

Along with the tour’s announcement, Yeat and LL founder-director Cole Bennett dropped the visual for another 2 Alivë hit, “Poppin.” A snippet of the video was originally seen at the end of “Still Countin,” surprising fans Wednesday night with the fully fleshed out treatment.

Fans can still try and snag tickets for The 2 Alivë Tour at Ticketmaster in case refunds or cancellations occur. Check out the dates below!
