DDG adds four new tracks on ‘It’s Not Me It’s You’ deluxe

Even while being constantly busy with other content creation like his beloved streams, DDG has made it clear that music is a priority for him.

Consistently putting out projects or singles over the past 3-4 years, the Michigan star has opened his fanbase’s eyes to his impressive songwriting ability. Now, just a week after releasing his brand new full-length project It’s Not Me It’s You (Sept. 30), DDG returned on Oct. 7 to add four new songs as a deluxe version.

With the original LP containing astonishing feature guests like Polo G and NLE Choppa on “9 Lives,” as well as Kevin Gates and Babyface Ray later in the track list, there’s no wonder why DDG felt a sense of urgency about continuing to build hype around the tape. Along with this, the 25-year-old had also included promotional singles like “If I Want You,” June’s “Storyteller” and “Stay In My Circle” and February’s “Elon Musk” with Gunna, delivering a well-rounded 12-song experience.

Striking while the iron was hot, the INMIY deluxe brings even more marquee talent to the table, as Offset, Lakeyah and Coi Leray join the party. After adding these four new explosive cuts, DDG teased the impending release of the music video for “Bulletproof Maybach” with Offset, which would be the project’s seventh visual.

Of the many videos that DDG has created for the LP, the ones that particularly stick out are “If I Want You” and “Elon Musk,” considering the former sees him link with his superstar R&B girlfriend Halle Bailey and the latter earned him the title of “First Rapper to Film a Music Video in Outer Space.”

Discussing the making of “Elon Musk” in an exclusive interview with us in late March, DDG explained how he had to train to be able to handle the conditions in space, as well as his desire to do “crazy shit” and how his YouTube community’s support impacts him.

“I’m really going because I want to experience it,” he said. “I like doing crazy shit. I went scuba diving, skydiving and I wanted to embrace that space mentality with ‘Elon Musk.’”

Aside from actually leaving Earth, though, 2022 has been an otherworldly ride for DDG, and his latest offering is only further proof of this. From impressive visuals, show-stopping features and continuously improving artistry, DDG’s arsenal of weapons in many different fields of entertainment is a sight to behold.
