Jacksonville star-in-the-making Nardo Wick has slowly been building momentum in 2022, following up his first single of the year with yet another banger. “Riot” ultimately raises Nardo’s signature sound to greater heights, as he menacingly threatens his enemies against harming his loved ones.
An unidentified sample eerily requests weaponry for a riot before Nardo joins in and calmly states his violent intention — surrounded by armed associates in the visuals. This comes after Wick’s April single “Krazy Krazy,” an energetic track that heavily complements the vibe of his latest release.
“Pull your mask down when the sun go down
For the ones I love, I burn down the whole town
Made it out that flood, they was hopin’ that we drown
All that tweakin’, leave you sleepin’, put a hole in your crown”
Nardo Wick — “Riot”
After insane output in 2021, Nardo has evidently slowed down this year, presumably working on the follow-up to his well-debut project Who Is Nardo Wick?. Touting 18 tracks with features from Future, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, 21 Savage, G Herbo and more, his debut had led to other collaborations with Latto and Doe Boy, leaving fans hungry for a new full-length project from the street-centric superstar.
