Pusha T‘s rollout for his upcoming album It’s Almost Dry is well underway.
Whether it be his two promotional singles “Diet Coke” (Feb. 8) and “Neck & Wrist” with Jay- Z & Pharrell Williams (April 6), his two appearances on Nigo‘s I Know Nigo album or his other recent interviews with Hot Ones, Complex and Billboard, Pusha T is more than ready to drop his next record.
As his press tour continues after a busy few weeks, Pusha T’s latest effort to build buzz around It’s Almost Dry came on Monday (April 11), as he met with infamous radio DJ and hip-hop personality Charlamagne Tha God for a 55-minute interview that sees Push speak on the passing of his parents, becoming a father and, of course, his highly-anticipated LP.
An interview is only as good as the interviewer…thank you @cthagod for your research, your time, and your platform to separate Terrence Thornton vs Pusha -T. #ITSALMOSTDRY pic.twitter.com/6Iyj4eoNbM

When it comes to interview questions, Charlamagne has never been one to shy away, evident in other conversations he has had with artists like Travis Scott in November 2021, as they discussed his role and reaction to the Astroworld fest tragedy.
With heavy subject matter on the table, Charlamagne respectfully questions Pusha about his family life, considering he had a son during the 2020 COVID-19 quarantine while he was making the album, and considering that he recently lost both his mother and his father in the last year.
“Grieving doesn’t make you imperfect, It makes you human!!” Sat with the good brother @PUSHA_T to discuss his new album #ItsAlmostDry but more importantly we discuss life!!! Full conversation available here!!! https://t.co/8Ew1NFuxo3 pic.twitter.com/B4xf31uXQY

On a lighter note though, the two also discussed aspects of the album including Kanye West’s involvement. In earlier interviews, Pusha had already divulged that half of the album was produced by West and the other half by Pharrell, but he spoke more about Ye’s impact on the project with Charlamagne, including his feature verse on the song “Dreaming Of The Past.”

Pusha T seems content with the work that he has put in on this record, and eager to let fans hear what he has been working on since his stellar seven-song exhibition Daytona in 2018.
