Barker is also included on three more of the songs on the album, as he is a highly-coveted drummer who dior partnered with to explore a more punk-rock side to his sound. iann also released the music video for OTBT‘s second song “complicate it” on Friday at 1 p.m. EST.
On To Better Things is a monumental release for dior, and has been in the works for the past few years. Now, itâs time to see how heâs developed his sound from up-and-coming SoundCloud melodic rapper to burgeoning bonafide pop star.

iann dior’s new album ‘On To Better Things’ set to drop on January 21
Among the surge of new wave melodic pop-rappers, iann dior has separated himself from the pack.
With a few years of hits under his belt â including a growing portfolio of high profile features and an undeniable knack for crafting infectiously sung hooks â anticipation for his upcoming album has grown by the day since his last project in 2020, Iâm Gone.
“Gone” iann was for months, but now, his return is just weeks away. On Jan. 3, iann announced his next studio album On To Better Things will release on Jan. 21.
Accompanied with entrancing purple cover art, On To Better Things looks to be another stepping stone on the path to superstardom for the 22-year-old Corpus Christi, Texas native. The album already possesses two promotional singles released in Fall 2021.

In September, iann busted through the door for his album rollout with “V12â â a long-awaited, stellar collaborative track with Lil Uzi Vert.
As iann has grown accustomed to in prior collaborations with Gunna, Lil Baby, 24kGoldn and Trippie Redd, he and Uzi establish harmonious chemistry, as they align their songwriting allusions and energies magnificently to craft OTBT‘s first banger.
Two months later in November 2021, “let you” became the album’s second single, exemplifying why moody, relationship pop cuts are best executed from the mind of iann dior.
The entire tracklist for the album is yet to be revealed, but when discussing OTBT on Twitter in October, iann covered how important and treasured he considers the project to be.
We are now officially two weeks away from On To Better Things, as the album fans waited over a year for looks to reflect its title.
Iâve only made music that is real to me OTBT is deeply one of my one of my favorite albums. every song is personal to what my life as been the past year. Ups and Downs. Good and Bad times.
