Internet Money recruits Roddy Ricch, Kodak Black for new single ‘I Remember’

As one of the premier forces in hip-hop over the past decade, Internet Money continues to define the sound of the digital era.

Joining forces with Roddy Ricch and Kodak Black for their first effort of 2023, “I Remember” (March 24) sees the plaque-stacking collective curate another superstar-clad connection.

Releasing the track just days after it was teased on social media, Internet Money showcase their signature sound on the mid-tempo banger, blending elements of trap and pop music while layering the piano-led production with trunk-rattling drums. Together, IM producers in Dyryk, DJ Showtime, Nick Mira, Nash, Cxdy, E-Trou and CEO Taz Taylor provide Roddy and Kodak with a radio-ready anthem equally fit for a mosh or smoke sesh.

Touching on themes of success, betrayal and the struggle of staying true to oneself in the midst of fame, Roddy reflects on tough times before the fame and those who doubted him, as Kodak shines through with his unique and introspective lyrics.

“Took losses in my trenches, I can’t cry no more

All this pain inside my body, I can’t hide no more

F*cked up in my mind, a n*gga been poppin’ Percocets

I’ve been sippin’ on this syrup, I ain’t tryna hurt or stress”

Last summer, IM reasserted itself as a solo threat with the release of their six-track EP We All We Got, featuring a few of the game’s biggest stars like LUCKI, Yeat, Destroy Lonely and Lil Yachty. It served as a follow-up to their debut album B4 the Storm, which peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200. IM also touts credits on Lil Uzi Vert‘s hit song “Just Wanna RockDrake and 21 Savage‘s “BackOutsideBoyz” and a slew of tracks on Lonely’s NO STYLIST. Internet Money’s artist roster is perhaps the most impressive aspect of its appeal, as Iann Dior, Dro Kenji, Lil Tecca and Rich Amiri all have come into their own artistically.

“I Remember” is not only a testament to the group’s ability to assemble some of the biggest names in music, but bolsters their undoubted power in crafting an undeniable hit.
