Rolling Loud kickstarts album rollout with new single from Duke Deuce, Rae Sremmurd

In a year chock full of surprises, this past week saw a festival announce their debut album, with Rolling Loud prepping to deliver an LP of their own.

Kicking off their rollout with “Finger Food” (Dec. 9) featuring hit-making duo Rae Sremmurd and crunk rapper Duke Deuce, fans and former attendees alike have received their first peek into the upcoming project, yet to be given a title or release date.

A brooding, rock-infused guitar loop and bumping drums give Duke and Rae Sremm a perfect backdrop to craft a track primed for Rolling Loud stages. Duke’s classic Memphis flow and Rae Sremmurd’s melodies pair predictably well as the duo ushers in the festival’s first single.

Hip-hop’s biggest festival seems to be capitalizing on their stock in the game with this upcoming tape, using their deep connections to bring on three stars for their first single. Duke, Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee have all previously performed at Rolling Loud alongside legends like Future, A$AP Rocky and Lil Wayne.

Earlier this year, Duke Deuce dropped his highly-anticipated CRUNKSTAR album, followed by the release of third installment in his Memphis Massacre series. Between both albums, his crunk movement has seen support from artists like Rico Nasty, Lil Yachty, Babyface Ray and more.

As for Rae Sremmurd, the duo has slowed down their releases lately, with their most recent singles being “Denial” and “Community D**k” featuring Flo Milli, which ushered in a new era in their career earlier this year ahead of the eventual Sremm4Life.

As fans enjoy a heck of a run by Duke Deuce and anticipate Rae Sremm’s next move, Rolling Loud’s first single allows them to see a fascinating combination of both parties, marking the beginning of their debut album rollout.
