Midwxst showcases his range on new project ‘better luck next time,’ shares ‘on my mind’ visual

Over the past year, Midwxst has shown that he doesn’t need any breaks striving for superstardom.

Off the back of his latest single “i know you hate me” (Feb. 23) and coinciding album better luck next time (March 16), the hyperpop, hip-hop genre-bender continues to showcase he’s built for the king run. Sharing visuals for tracks “switching sides,” “step back” and his latest “on my mind,” midwxst’s creative vision is all-encompassing of his artistry — further immersing listeners into his love-torn, angst-filled soundscape with each passing effort.

Stemming from his tantalizing 2021 mixtape Summer03, the 18-year-old Indiana native hasn’t let off the gas since it dropped last March. Sharing a slew of singles in “Made It Back,” “Ruthless,” “Tic Tac Toe” and “All Talk” — which all landed on his October EP Back In Action with KA$HDAMI, BabySantana, OnlyBino!, Slump6s, ericdoa, DC The Don and more — other tracks in “Shame,” “Bluffing” and “Care” led listeners into Midwxst’s next chapter on a high note.

Edgar has also had no shortage of music in 2022, putting out a new song almost every other week since the release of Back In Action’s deluxe. Kicking off the new year with his SoundCloud exclusive “all my friends hate me,” the new wave enigma’s latest offerings “riddle” and “i know you hate me” are the two promotional singles off better luck next time. The project itself features blossoming hyperpop star Brakence over the course of its nine total tracks.

With Midwxst on the rise, here’s hoping that he has “better luck” this time achieving the acclaim he so rightfully deserves.
